Jiyu Gakuen Myonichikan
Built in 1921 and used as a campus for Jiyu Gakuen, until moving in 1934. It was designed by architect Frank Lloyd Wright, who also designed the Imperial Hotel. This building is known as a fine example of modern architecture, and is a designated national important Cultural Property.
Jiyu Gakuen Myonichikan offers guided tours, so visitors can get a deeper understanding of the building's design concepts and historical background.
Laview
“Laview” is the express train that hit the rails as of 2019 on the Seibu Ikebukuro Line, connecting Ikebukuro and Seibu Chichibu Stations in just 77 minutes. Hop on for an easy day trip to the Chichibu area with plenty of time make it back to central Tokyo on the same day, making it the savvy way to zip up and explore Chichibu on the fly.
The modern design features large windows in every car, giving passengers wide views to enjoy the beautiful scenery along the way.

HANA・BIYORI is the new-concept flower park and destination next to Yomiuriland amusement park, replete with serene spaces to consider a greener earth and our place on earth hugged by seasonal flowers and plants. Popular highlights to see include the HANA・BIYORI Pavilion, where you can marvel at Japan’s largest collection of over 300 hanging flower chandeliers and colorful floral walls, the vibrant Seasonal Flower Path, and the PIET OUDOLF GARDEN TOKYO, designed by a world-renowned garden designer.
They treat flowers like works of art here, and the new tech performances totally changed my idea of what a botanical garden can be.
Tokyo Trick Art Museum
Trick Art is the original interactive art that was created in Japan. It uses visual illusions to create amazing experiences, allowing you to "enter" the Trick Art work by taking photos of it. The Tokyo Trick Art Museum features Japanese scenes from the Edo Period (1603-1868) as well as a variety of other trick art masterpieces to enjoy!
The ticket is a bit pricey, but what's inside will really blow your mind.
Yokohama Landmark Tower 69th Floor Observation Deck "Sky Garden"
The Yokohama Landmark Tower, a symbol of Yokohama, is a 70-floor skyscraper standing 296m high. This complex is home to a shopping mall, restaurants, clinics, and more. Positioned on its 69th floor is the "Sky Garden," an observation deck offering 360-degree panoramic views.
It's super convenient to walk here from Sakuragicho Station using the dedicated pedestrian walkway. The observation deck at the top is one of the best spots to see Yokohama Port. On clear days, you can even see Mt. Fuji—the view is fantastic!
Hama-Rikyu Gardens
The Hama-Rikyu Gardens, also called “Hama Goten” during the Edo period, were originally the location of a villa owned by the Tokugawa Shogunate, but later on it was converted into the imperial villa. In 1945, it was bequeathed to the city of Tokyo and then opened to the public.
The elegance of a Japanese garden and the Zen atmosphere are wonderful here. The pond in the garden uses seawater from the tides, which is really unique. Even though it's surrounded by skyscrapers, it's a peaceful hideaway—definitely worth a visit.
Asakusa Hanayashiki
Located in Asakusa, Tokyo, an area brimming with tourist attractions, lies 'Asakusa Hanayashiki', the oldest amusement park in Japan. Its history dates back to 1853, during the Edo period, and it has marked a staggering 170 years to the present day.
This is the oldest amusement park in Japan. It's pretty small and doesn't have many thrilling rides, so it's perfect for families with young kids.
