Sapporo TV Tower
Built in 1956 on Nishi 1-chome, the starting point of Odori Park, the Sapporo TV Tower is well known to locals and tourists alike as a landmark of Sapporo that has witnessed the city's development since its completion.
During the day, you get to see the lush greenery of Odori Park and the lively cityscape. At night, the city lights up and the view becomes even more enchanting.
Hado Misaki Cape
A small port sticking out from the Higashimatsuura Peninsula. It is famous for its scenic views of the Genkainada Ocean, where visitors can feel the ocean breeze atop a grass patch. The cape is on the “Genkai Quasi-National Park” which spans across the North West of Kyushu. Visitors can enjoy hiking, camping, swimming, and other fun activities.
Standing at the cape, you can gaze out at the vast ocean and feel the sea breeze. It's incredibly refreshing and soothing.
Kushiro Washo Market
Kushiro Washo Market, coined the “kitchen of Eastern Hokkaido” is the premiere name among Kushiro’s local markets. It’s the oldest market in Kushiro, still standing today as one of Hokkaido’s three great markets since its opening in 1954.

Sapporo Beer Museum
This is the only beer museum in Japan, where visitors can learn about the history of Hokkaido's pioneering days and the thoughts of those who were passionate about brewing beer in Japan.
The factory tour is free, and for a small fee, you can enjoy a glass of draft beer and a pack of peanuts.
Shiroi Koibito Park
Shiroi Koibito is a well-known brand of sweets in Hokkaido. At Shiroi Koibito Park, you can tour the production line, learn the history of chocolate from the display, and create your own Shiroi Koibito snack.
The outside of the factory is set up like a beautiful park. Buying Shiroi Koibito chocolates here isn't any cheaper—actually, you might find discounts at Tanukikoji instead.
Head Temple, Hasedera
Nestled in the mountains, this is one of the most prominent holy places in Japan housing the Kannon statue. It used to stand at the midpoint of the Hase Road which ran from Yamato Province to Ise Province. It appears in ancient poetries called Komoriku no Hatsuse and in Manyoshu.
The view of the autumn mountains covered in colorful leaves from the main hall's observation deck is truly moving.
Kyoto Railway museum
Since the opening of Umekoji Steam Locomotive Museum in 1972, it had been dubbed SL’s mecca. Then, it was remodeled into the Kyoto Railway Museum in 2016. Under their fundamental concept, “the hub of railway culture that progresses with its community,” you can learn railway history, safety and technology through amazing hands-on experience.
This place introduces the origins and history of Japanese railways. There are lots of early steam locomotives on display, and you can try out many hands-on exhibits yourself.
Biwako Hakodateyama Mountain
Renewed and reopened in 2020, Biwako Hakodate Mountain offers seasonal flowers in summer and skiing in the silvery white world of winter. You can take an 8-minute gondola ride while enjoying the scenery of Lake Biwa. Once you reach the top of the mountain, which is about 630 meters above sea level, you will feel a sense of freedom.
A lot of people bring their dogs up here. There's a huge meadow where pets can run around freely.
