Daisen (Tottori Prefecture)

At 1709m above sea level, this is the highest peak of a polygenetic volcano in the Chugoku District. Selected into Japan’s 100 great Mountains and Japan’s 100 Scenic Places, it is the symbol of Tottori and is designated as the Daisen Oki National Park, which includes the surrounding Hiruzen Area, Oki Island, Shimane Peninsula, and Mt. Sanbe Area.

Tottori Sand Dunes

Located on the Sea of Japan side of Tottori City in Tottori Prefecture, the Tottori Sand Dunes stretch 16 km from east to west and 2.4 km from north to south, making them one of the largest dune systems in Japan. Tottori Sand Dunes Conan Airport

Located Approx. 7 km northwest of central Tottori City in a sand dune area facing the Sea of Japan, this airport serves as the northeastern Chugoku region’s gateway to the skies. ANA operates scheduled flights to and from Haneda Airport, providing convenient access to and from Tokyo. Since 2015, it has been affectionately known as Tottori Sand Dunes Conan Airport, inspired by the fact that Gosho Aoyama, creator of the popular manga Detective Conan, is from Tottori Prefecture.

Kotohiragu Shrine
