SATUDORA Tanukikoji 5-chome Store is located on Tanukikoji 5-chome, part of Sapporo's famous covered shopping arcade in the heart of the city. The storefront looks impressive, and it's also pretty nice to browse inside. However, there are really so many drugstores in Tanukikoji, so I recommend not buying something as soon as you see it. After comparing prices myself, I felt that this store was a little more expensive. The only thing that left a very good impression on me was that there was a restroom available.

Come one come all to Tobu Department Store Ikebukuro, one of Tokyo’s largest mega retailers made easily accessible thanks to direct access to the west exit of Ikebukuro Station.

Tobu Department Store's selection of outdoor gear was more extensive than I expected. It's convenient for finding equipment for mountaineering, hiking, or everyday travel, with everything from functional everyday clothing to more specialized mountaineering gear. There's also a wide variety of styles and sizes, and you can compare different brands in one place.

This new arm of Toyosu Market opened in February 202, buzzing with two areas to explore: a hub of food and tasty bites at Toyosu Jogai Edomae Ichiba and the hot springs day spa Tokyo Toyosu Manyo Club for all the best of food, shopping and ease at the hot springs.

I highly recommend trying the fresh seafood! Since it’s right next to Toyosu Market, the sashimi and seafood bowls are both super fresh.

The footbath upstairs is also definitely worth checking out. You can soak your feet while enjoying the view of Tokyo Bay. It’s a really nice place to relax after walking around, and the footbath is free to use.

Shin-Okubo Korea Town

Shin-Okubo Koreatown is Tokyo’s largest Koreatown, located near Shin-Okubo Station, which is just 1 stop from JR Shinjuku Station. It is the heart of Tokyo’s Korean culture, and it’s packed with visitors who are on top of fashion trends.

Besides Korean food, the side streets also hide quite a few unique cafés and international restaurants. You can shop during the day, then have dinner and take in the night views in the evening. The whole area feels lively, and it’s one of Tokyo’s most distinctive neighborhoods.

“PokéPark KANTO” is the first permanent outdoor facility to bring the world of the hit franchise Pokémon to life. It will open inside Yomiuriland in Inagi, Tokyo, on February 5, 2026. There aren’t that many rides, but the main draw is the immersive experience and all the photo ops. You really need to be a big Pokémon fan, otherwise you might find it a little disappointing.

Edo-Tokyo Museum

A museum offering a comprehensive look at the history and culture of Tokyo from the Edo period to the present day. Since opening in 1993, it has been a popular place to learn about Tokyo’s journey, and after major renovations, it reopened in March 2026. Highlights include a full-scale recreation of Nihonbashi Bridge and scale models of townscapes, offering a vivid look at the lives and culture of the people of the time.

My favorite part was the full-scale buildings and street models inside the museum. Every corner was crafted so beautifully, and the photos feel super immersive. If you take your time, you can easily spend the whole afternoon there.

100-year-old House, Ouya (Ufuya)

"100-year-old House, Ouya (Ufuya)" is a restaurant located in a renovated old Ryukyu house at the end of a mountain path that makes you wonder if there really is a restaurant down the road from Nago City ”.

This place isn’t just about delicious food—the dining atmosphere is a major highlight too. The charming old-style building paired with Okinawa’s natural scenery creates a relaxing, slow-paced vibe. It’s a unique restaurant I’d highly recommend adding to your Okinawa trip.

If you're visiting Kyoto in the summer, I highly recommend adding the Shojuin Temple Wind Chime Festival to your itinerary. Besides enjoying the beautiful wind chimes, you can also experience the unique tranquility and seasonal atmosphere of a Japanese temple. It left a very lasting impression on me.

Terminal 3 felt very bright and spacious overall, and the layout made it really comfortable. There was also plenty of seating to rest.

I especially liked the areas with the large floor-to-ceiling windows, where you can relax while watching planes take off and land on the apron. The atmosphere was very calming, and it's definitely a big plus for anyone who enjoys watching airplanes.

Opened in 2016, Shinjuku Expressway Bus Terminal stands as one of Japan’s largest highway bus terminals, located at JR Shinjuku Station’s South Exit. With around 90 bus operators serving the terminal, it connects destinations from Aomori in the north to Fukuoka in the south, with over 1,600 bus departures daily.

You can catch buses to sightseeing spots around Tokyo, and it’s also pretty convenient for getting to the airport.
The 3rd floor is for arrivals and the 4th floor is for departures. It’s also connected to the shopping complex next door, so if you have time, you can do a little shopping too!
