The whole place isn't very big, but the atmosphere is super relaxing. It really has that handmade, slow-paced vibe where you can take your time and enjoy everything. If you're into traditional Japanese fabrics or crafts, you'll definitely find this place really satisfying.

Anego no Hama
Located in western Itoshima City, Fukuoka Prefecture, this bow-shaped beach stretches 1.1 km long and 20 m wide. If you park at the Nijo Parking Area, which also serves as a tourist information center, you can head straight down to the shore, making it an easy stop during a drive around Itoshima. This is a so-called “singing sand” beach, where the sand makes a mysterious squeaking sound as you walk. The sound is created when quartz particles in the sand rub against each other, and it is said that only clean beaches free of impurities can produce it.
The beach is very clean, and the water looks pretty clear too. The whole area feels relaxing and has a nice vacation vibe.
It’s not too crowded, so walking along the shore feels მშვიდ and quiet. Great for a slow stroll or just zoning out while looking at the ocean.
The scenery is really pretty on a nice day, and every photo comes out looking good. If you’re looking for a place that’s not too commercialized and where you can quietly enjoy the sea, this is a really nice spot. -
Shoryakuji Temple
A temple nestled in the mountains of Nara City, as if resting beside the clear flow of the Bodaisen River. Founded in 992 during the Heian period by imperial order of Emperor Ichijo, it is the head temple of the Bodaisan Shingon sect and was once a magnificent temple complex lined with as many as 86 sub-temples. Today, structures such as the main hall, bell tower, and the guest hall of Fukujyuin remain, while moss-covered stone walls and the murmuring mountain stream preserve the atmosphere of its former days.
The whole place is surrounded by mountains and forest, and the atmosphere is really peaceful. It’s a great spot to walk around and just clear your mind.
The temple itself has a beautiful old-world feel, and you can really sense the history. It doesn’t feel overly commercialized.
It’s especially gorgeous during the fall foliage season, when the whole temple grounds are covered in red leaves. The photos come out amazing. -
Mt. Kano Kujukutani Observatory Park
Billowing in the Bōsō Hills, Mount Kano is the second-highest peak in Chiba prefecture, ranked in at a staggering 379 meters high. The southside opens to the wide Kujukutani Valley, a scenic area shaped by natural erosion. True to its name, the landscape features countless overlapping mountains and valleys, creating one of the most beautiful views in the region.
The view is so open, with layers of misty valleys that look just like an ink painting. It feels especially dreamy if you come in the morning or at sunset. Perfect spot to relax and snap some photos!
