It’s surrounded by mountains and valleys, and the scenery feels really untouched. It has that hidden-gem vibe.
The bridge itself is made of vines, so it feels a little unsteady when you walk on it, but it actually feels fairly safe.

Osaka Shinsekai Original Kushikatsu Daruma Shinsekai Main Store
Founded in 1929, just off Tsutenkaku Tower, Osaka's landmark. The main store of "Kushikatsu Daruma", which operates mainly in Osaka city.Kushikatsu is fried in Daruma's special original cooking oil making it light and easy to eat and does not cause stomach upsets like many heavy deep fried dishes can.
My first time trying Daruma kushikatsu, and it definitely didn’t disappoint. The coating was nice and crispy without being too greasy, and both the meat and seafood were really juicy. The sauce really is one-dip only, and it was fun eating there while soaking in the local Osaka vibe.

GariGarikun Soda
Japan’s classic ice treat, GariGarikun Soda, is a simple yet exceptionally well-crafted frozen treat made with soda-flavored ice on the outside and crunchy shaved ice on the inside. Its defining feature is this two-layer structure, with outer ice and inner shaved ice, allowing you to enjoy two different textures in one bar. Along with its refreshing soda flavor, it is also a long-selling product that has been loved by a wide range of generations, from children to adults, for many years.
I love that crunchy, shaved-ice texture. It’s pretty different from a regular popsicle, and it feels especially refreshing on a hot summer day.

The Aizu Bukeyashiki - Samurai Residence
Located near Higashiyama Onsen, this large-scale historical museum park features the restored residence of Saigo Tanomo, who was a Karo officer in the Aizu domain, surrounded by relocated and restored traditional buildings and a museum.
It’s absolutely worth coming during cherry blossom season. The classic samurai residence buildings with the cherry trees in full bloom feel so quintessentially Japanese, and every photo turns out great.
The lunch set meal was just the right portion, and I got to try local Aizu cuisine. -
