Honestly, I wasn’t that interested. My friend wanted to come, so I just tagged along.
There were so, so, so many foreigners there. I’m not really sure why everyone is so interested in this place, but for me it was just okay, more like a walk. What was interesting, though, was seeing lots of Japanese elementary school kids on a field trip wearing their little yellow hats.
I thought that was insanely cute.
I’m not usually very attached to historical sites, but it felt like this place has been specially preserved. It seemed to be kept in pretty good condition.
Still, it’s a tourist spot worth checking off.
Being here really made it feel like I’d come to Hiroshima.
Not sure why this review sounds kind of boring... I guess that’s just how I feel haha

Monkey D. Luffy Statue
With over 500 million copies in circulation worldwide as of 2020, ONE PIECE has become one of Japan’s most iconic manga series.
It was raining that day. I hope I can collect all of the ONE PIECE statues someday!
There was also a handprint below it, and my hand is tiny.
When I put my hand on it, theirs was way bigger than mine. But I don’t have a photo, so I’m not sure if I deleted it... so sad. I was taking photos nonstop the whole trip in Japan.
Maybe because it was raining, I got to take a good photo with Luffy~
But honestly, I like Levi more.
I don’t know why, but I couldn’t find anything here about Attack on Titan in Hita, only Oita...
Whenever I see Luffy doing this pose, it makes me want to copy it too hahaha. Do everyone’s photos end up with the same pose? -

Kushida Shrine
This head shrine is said to have been built in the 8th century. Residents in Hakata call it “Okushida san.” Hakata Gion Yamakasa festival declares the arrival of summer to the City of Hakata in July, and is dedicated to this shrine.
Honestly, I don’t really remember much about this place. I basically only came because everyone said it’s famous and that you should visit, hahaha.
It was definitely unique, but what I liked was... was it the crane? I thought it was really delicate.
And there was also one with huge nostrils.
Uh, is saying that going to offend anyone?
But the komainu really did have super big nostrils, and it was so cute.
Don’t you think it’s kind of hilarious?
I’m calling it the "broken dog." -

Mizuki Shigeru Road
Mizuki Shigeru Road was established in 1993. The 800-meter-long street from Sakaiminato Station to the Mizuki Shigeru Museum is lined with 177 bronze yokai sculptures.
I seriously, absolutely loved this street.
I kept taking photos the whole way. I wasn’t even planning to stay that long, but I ended up spending the entire afternoon here. It was so awesome.
There were so many works on display? I guess that’s how I’d say it.
This is where I have to talk about my iPhone for a second.
The new feature lets you cut things out and turn them into stickers.
It works especially well with these.
Hahaha I seriously loved it.
And it feels so fun, don’t you think?
There are sarcastic ones.
There are dramatic slap-reaction ones.
There are goofy ones too.
And a ton of stunned-looking ones.
I can even tell stories with these pictures hahaha. If you’re interested, follow my IG.
If this gets more than 10 likes, I’ll post my IG hahaha (probably).
Also, I’m not very good with punctuation.
I honestly don’t really know how to break things into paragraphs with periods. -
