BonPatty Nagasaki Station
Located within the souvenir zone of Nagasaki Kaido Kamome Market, BonPatty Nagasaki Station is a charming shop directly connected to JR Nagasaki Station. It specializes in traditional Nagasaki confections and is one of five directly managed stores operated by Obama Shokuryo Co., a long-established sweets maker based in Nagasaki Prefecture.
Don't worry if you haven't finished buying souvenirs yet! BonPatty is inside Nagasaki Station and has a huge selection. You can find popular treats like Nagasaki castella, kakuni buns, loquat sweets, and Kujukushima rice crackers. Stop by before catching your train and make this the final souvenir-shopping stop of your trip. You can easily pick up everything you still need and head home with your bags full〜

TORAYA GINZA
Founded in the early 16th century in Kyoto, "Toraya" is a long-established confectionery renowned for its yokan and other traditional Japanese sweets. In April 2024, the Ginza store reborn as “TORAYA GINZA", introduces a modern twist, inviting people of all ages, both in Japan and worldwide, to experience the unique appeal of wagashi and the Toraya legacy.
Toraya is famous for its yokan. I always thought yokan was rather sweet and came in fairly large portions, so I never particularly wanted to buy any to take home. But Toraya's yokan really changed my mind! The portions are small and refined, and each box contains many different flavors, so you can try several at once without getting tired of them as easily. It's perfect for sharing with a few friends, cutting it into small pieces, and enjoying it slowly. It goes especially well with Japanese green tea, whose aroma helps balance the sweetness of the yokan and makes it even easier to enjoy. I'd like to try some of their other sweets next time!

Butter Butler TOKYO GIFT PALETTE
Butter Butler is a sweets brand built around the idea of butter as the star ingredient, made with carefully selected butter sourced from around the world. In addition to signature favorites such as Butter Financier and Butter Galette, the most popular item is Butter Millefeuille, sold exclusively at the Tokyo Gift Palette store.
I saw Butter Butler at Tokyo Station First Avenue. Its products highlight the rich aroma of butter, and the buttery flavor really does stand out, with a very rich taste and texture. For me, though, it was a little too oily and noticeably sweet and heavy. A small piece is just right, and it would be better paired with tea or coffee.
