This ramen snack really brings back childhood memories—I’ve been eating it since I was little. It wasn’t until I traveled to Japan as an adult that I learned it was a popular, long-established Japanese snack. Whether it’s the classic thin noodles or the wider version with its more distinctive texture, every variety is so addictive. What fascinates me most is searching for regional limited-edition flavors whenever I travel around Japan. On a previous trip to Sendai, I bought a special edamame flavor, and in Nagoya, I tried a bold, spicy wasabi flavor. Both left a strong impression on me.
Now, whenever I visit Japan, browsing convenience stores and supermarkets has become part of the fun of traveling. I can’t help spending time looking for rare or limited-edition flavors I’ve never seen before. Buying a few bags as snacks to enjoy during the trip is just perfect.
