Besides the wisteria flowers, Kawachi Wisteria Garden also has a rich natural environment with lots of birds and insects. You can really enjoy nature here, but unfortunately, it gets pretty crowded.

Yanoen Kissa Yurin
Yurin-kan is located in the Kiryu Shinmachi Important Traditional Buildings Preservation District. The group of storehouses was built and used for storage purposes between the Edo and Showa periods, and in the past, sake, soy sauce, and miso were produced here. Yanoen stands at the entrance to the site. Founded in 1717, this historic store has a history of over 300 years, and it was established in the current building in 1928. The building has been designated an important traditional building of the city of Kiryu.
They offer all kinds of coffee, tea, light meals, and desserts. It's a perfect spot to take a break and recharge during your trip!

Lake Umeda
Lake Umeda is located in the upper reaches of the Kiryu River, with the Kiryu River Headwaters Forest as its water source. It is not only a place where you can experience the beauty of nature, but also a famous fishing spot among anglers. The main target fish are rainbow trout, brown trout, cherry salmon, landlocked salmon, black bass, and pond smelt.
The water at Lake Umeda is crystal clear, with lush trees along the shore and mountains all around. The scenery is beautiful—perfect for a stroll by the lake, enjoying the reflections and the views. There are walking paths, observation decks, and rest pavilions, so you can walk, picnic, or just relax and enjoy the peaceful lakeside atmosphere.

Ryujin Suspension Bridge
The Ryujinkyo Gorge is located in Okukuji Prefectural Nature Park, in Ibaraki prefecture. The “Ryujin Suspension Bridge” is laid atop the Ryujin dam that flows through the Ryujin River within the gorge. This bridge is 375m long, and is one of Japan’s longest pedestrian only suspension bridges.
Walking across this bridge is pretty fun. Some people shake it on purpose, which can be a bit scary, but it's definitely an interesting experience.
