What a beautiful Jewel illumination!

I visited the YOMIURILAND amusement park to see the Jewellumination (Jewel illumination) installation by world famous lighting designer Motoko Ishii. After hearing about how wonderful it is I had to see it with my own eyes. Motoko Ishii has also done lighting installations at the Tokyo tower and Shirakawa-go Village.

I’m not really one for thrilling rides so I visited after sunset to see the illumination. Night admission is applied after 16:00 so it ended up being cheaper for me.

I was especially impressed with the attractions “Light on dance” and “Water fountain fantasy created by the light and sound”

The lighting up of all the light bulbs on the fancy jewelry road along with the rhythmical music and dance is a must see. It was so fascinating!
The spectacular water fountain and the healing music created a beautiful and fantastic light show. I strongly recommend seeing this with a loved one.

“ Keio YOUMIURILAND” station on Keio line to “YOMIURILAND” is connected by the Gondola “Sky shuttle”. This Gondola is decorated with illuminations as well. It was so gorgeous.
