Tokyo’s Heritage Guesthouse “toco”
“toco” is a guesthouse, hosted in a 90-year-old renovated building. There is a bar in the entryway that even non-guests can use. The guesthouse itself is relatively small, and guests often end up becoming friends with one another.
The guesthouse is located 2 minutes on foot from the Hibiya Line’s Iriya Station, so it is conveniently located for sightseeing in Tokyo. Ueno Station is only 1 stop away from Iriya Station.
Located in the middle of Tokyo, where modern skyscrapers and hotels stand tall one after the other, toco has a lovely garden and porch, a rare sight in the city center. It is a lovely place to experience the warmth of old-fashioned Japanese homes.
Recommended Bar Menu
toco’s bar has a plentiful lineup of sake available, so be sure to check it out! Their curry, available only on weekends, is also popular.
toco has beds or futons, and Japanese or western-style rooms. The prices of these vary, but you can stay for as little as 2800 yen per night. The dormitory-style rooms with bunk beds come with curtains, outlets, and lockers for luggage (keys must be purchased). Guests must be over 7 years of age.
