Creperie Alcyon is a crepe and galette specialty restaurant located in an alley near Hozenji Yokocho. It is in an eye-catching Western style building from 1952 with brick and yellow walls, within the surrounding landscape that reminds you of the Showa era. has a kitchen on the first floor and seating in the basement and on the second and third floors. The warm wooden interior, the handrails on the stairs, and the decorations on the walls make the building and the space itself worth a visit.

The restaurant serves crepes with a crispy yet soft texture and galettes, a savory buckwheat flour crepe. The owner, trained in France, is spreading the taste of authentic crepes that significantly impacted him. More than 20 different crepes and gallates are on the menu, with limited recipes served seasonally. There are also cafe sets, lunch and dinner courses available.

Unlike Japanese crepes, which are topped with fresh cream and fruit to "enjoy the ingredients," authentic French crepes are very simple and are to "taste the dough.” That is why the owner is so particular about the dough. For crepes, he uses French wheat with a delicious, sweet taste. The buckwheat flour used for the galettes is made from unpolished buckwheat that has been stone-ground to bring out its original flavor.
