Soni Highland
A huge field stretches up to Mt. Kuroso .
Mt. Kuroso is one of the 300 famous mountains in Japan . Soni Highland is a huge field at the foot of this mountain.
The field is covered with pampas grass in autumn making a widely peaceful scenery. This spot is popular for many hikers gathering in the season when pampas grass blooms from the end of September to the end of November. There is a hot spring, “Okame-no-yu” and campsite, “ Sun Village Soni” , which is recommended for families to visit.
“Okameike pond " is a marsh located in the center of the highland and you will have a chance to find uncommon plants which are found at a mash only. If you want to observe the pond much more, you can go up to “Kameyama toge” at the back of the pond. The scenery with lush greenery from spring to summer is beautiful, you can enjoy various scenery of each season.
