Kikyou Shingen Mochi Factory Theme Park

The factory theme park of Kikyouya, the historical sweets shop opened in 1889.

Kikyou Shingen Mochi (rice cake), Yamanashi’s specialty sweets, is produced and sold at Kikyouya’s theme park. You can watch how the rice cakes are made. Each cake is hand-wrapped and it is fascinating to watch how careful and speedy the process is.

As popular as touring the factory is all-you-can-fill sweets. People stand in line from the morning to fill the specified bag with as much Shingen mochi as they want for just 220 yen.
Also, there is an employee discount corner. Anyone can buy the near-expiration date or deformed products at lower prices. There are lots of popular Kikyouya sweets that will make nice souvenirs.

At the theme park cafe, enjoy Kikyou Shingen Soft+ with Shingen Mochi and Kikyou Shingen stick, or Kikyou Shingen Mochi Manju, and other freshly-made one-and-only menus. Seasonal menu items are also offered such as Latte with brown syrup and soybean powder or shaved ice made of natural water.

Whether touring or the all-you-can-fill bag, adults and children alike can have fun all day at the factory theme park.
