This complex is run by Kirishima Shuzo, a famous sake brewery known for its Honkaku sweet potato Shochu “Kuro Kirishima”. There is a restaurant, a factory store, a bakery, a museum, and a brewery on the vast grounds.
At KIRISHIMA WALK FACTORY, a shochu distillery tour facility, visitors can join one of five guided tours offered daily (advance reservation required). Each tour lasts approximately 60 minutes and provides a fun, immersive experience that engages all five senses for both adults and children. Guests can also sample sweet potatoes and taste shochu, making it a must-visit destination for spirits enthusiasts.
At the “Kirinokura Brewery,” there is a restaurant, a store, and a craft beer brewing facility, and visitors can purchase their craft beer and enjoy delicious drinks and meals. At the “Kirinokura Brewery,” visitors can enjoy delicious bread and pizza made with shochu moromi (unrefined shochu) in the cafe space.
Other attractions include a spring where visitors can draw free Kirishima Rekka water, which is essential for the production of shochu; a ground golf course; Kirishima Shochu Shrine; and various events held throughout the year.
