A garden unique to Hokkaido, adorned with plants centering on perennial grasses that grow in the northern climate. The flowers bloom with different colors dramatically according to season, hence the name “Dramatic Garden”.
The “Gnomes' Garden”, the centerpiece of Ueno Farm, which consists of several gardens, is a natural-style garden where wildflowers and ornamental grasses of simple beauty coexist with gorgeous flowers.
Other highlights include a pathway of white birches that contrast beautifully with the vivid colors of tulips, and a Mirror Border with symmetrical plantings. The garden transforms throughout the year.
Inside the garden is the “NAYA cafe”. Visitors can have their food to go.
They can eat curry and Hokkaido soul food “Ageimo (donut-like fried snack using potatos)”, and sweets inside the garden. Inside the shop, gardening tools, farm-grown and rare seedlings are available for sale. Make sure to find your favorite plants and grow them at home.
