Karuizawa Tourist Hall

The tourist hall with a retro wooden exterior is the symbol of the Old Karuizawa Ginza Street. Visitors can obtain a variety of information on everything from sightseeing to lodging.

The first floor contains a general information desk where visitors can obtain useful information for sightseeing, a sightseeing exhibition space, and an audio-visual space. In addition to introducing Karuizawa's famous landmarks, a topographical model is on display, making the space enjoyable even just to look at. In addition, there is a rest area, which can be used as a resting spot during a stroll. On the second floor, there is also the Karuizawa Railway Mini Museum, which exhibits valuable materials about the railroads in Karuizawa, and a coworking space. Another nice feature is that the museum is a wireless LAN hotspot.

The museum is also equipped with clean pay toilets (100 yen per visit) with changing rooms and diaper changing stations, so this is a must-see spot.
