A new concept by Ueshima Coffee House, a brand that carries on Japan’s kissaten (coffeehouse) culture, REAL DRIP COFFEE No.12 opened in 2019 on the 5th floor of Shibuya Scramble Square Shops & Restaurants. It retains the refined atmosphere of Ueshima Coffee House, while offering an even more evolved coffee experience.
Here, coffee is brewed one cup at a time using a custom drip machine designed to replicate the craftsmanship of skilled baristas. Guests can choose from ten varieties of beans, ranging from rich, full-bodied dark roasts to bright, aromatic light roasts, and savor the depth of flavor that roasting brings to coffee.
The food menu also incorporates coffee in subtle ways. Sandwiches, for example, are enhanced with a special “coffee oil” made by blending roasted coffee beans with oil and aromatic vegetables, offering a unique flavor accent and showcasing coffee’s versatility.
