On Basement 1, “Kyo no Chagura” offers a custom Uji tea blending experience, while “Kyo no Chaho” on the 1st floor sells original Uji tea exclusive to the Kyoto flagship store. The 2nd floor is home to “Saryo FUKUCHA Shijo,” a cafe where you can enjoy pairings of Uji tea and sweets, while the 3rd floor features “Maison de Matsuda Fukujuen,” a restaurant serving French cuisine made with Uji tea. At “Kyo no Chaan” on the 4th floor, you can try a matcha experience in a tea room, and the cafe also serves matcha with seasonal Japanese sweets. The 5th floor “Kyo no Chagu” sells original Fukujuen teaware and tea ceremony utensils. The 6th floor “Kyo no Chaza” is an event space, and the 7th floor “Art Space Fukujuen” hosts art exhibitions inspired by tea culture.

The building was designed around the themes of “Kyoto Garden,” “Kyoto Light,” and “Kyoto Craftsmanship.” “Kyoto Light,” which changes the illumination of the latticework on the exterior to make the entire building resemble a giant lantern, has become a symbol of Kyoto nights.
