A public park on Jogashima, at the tip of the Miura Peninsula, where Tokyo Bay and Sagami Bay meet. Its appeal lies in its untouched natural setting, where you can enjoy sweeping ocean views throughout the park. From the observation deck, you can see Mt. Fuji, and on clear days, even the Boso Peninsula and Izu Oshima in the distance.

The park is also known as a great spot for birdwatching. The Japanese cormorant that arrives from winter to spring, along with pelagic cormorants and Pacific reef herons spending the winter here, is a must-see. This wintering ground has been designated as a Kanagawa Prefectural Natural Monument. Be sure to also check out the spring flower scenery, when Approx. 300,000 double-flowered narcissus are in full bloom.

After a relaxing stroll, it’s also recommended to stop by the nearby lighthouse and the rocky seaside area with striking unusual rock formations, or take a short boat ride for a cruise on the water connecting Misaki San Choku Center Urari and Jogashima in about 5 minutes.

Visiting Jogashima Prefectural Park at the very end of the cape really feels like getting away from the city and immersing yourself in nature. The weather was excellent that day, and the blue sky and expansive ocean views made every photo look beautiful. Even a casual snapshot looked like a stunning travel photo. Standing by the ocean in the pleasant sea breeze, listening to the gentle waves and watching the seabirds soar freely made me feel completely relaxed too. There isn't much hustle and bustle here, just beautiful ocean views and a laid-back atmosphere. It's perfect for taking a leisurely stroll, snapping photos, and enjoying time by the sea. I really recommend visiting when the weather is nice. The scenery is so beautiful that you won't want to leave.
