Marui Junibancho Branch

Marui Junibancho Branch is a ramen restaurant serving Wakayama ramen. It was also featured as a Michelin Plate selection in Michelin Guide Wakayama 2022.

Its signature dish is the Chashu Ramen. The straight, medium-thick noodles coat themselves in the rich pork bone and soy sauce broth, highlighting both their texture and flavor. The fresh green onions harvested that morning and used as a topping are highly aromatic and pair exceptionally well with the pork bone and soy sauce flavor. The chashu also has a well-balanced ratio of fat to lean meat, and its tenderness and umami blend into the soup. The balanced harmony of green onions, soup, and chashu is something unique to Marui. The menu also includes Spicy Ramen, Stamina Ramen, and set meals with fried rice, rice, or rice bowls.

The restaurant has 32 seats in total, with 20 counter seats and 12 table seats, making it easy to visit whether you are dining alone or in a group. It is about a 15-minute walk to Wakayama Castle, so you can also stop by between sightseeing plans. It is mainly frequented by locals as an everyday dining spot.
