Minoyama Park

This natural park covers the summit area of Mt. Minoyama, which spans Chichibu City and Minano Town, and is known as a scenic viewpoint overlooking the Chichibu Basin from an elevation of 581.5 m. The entire summit area has been developed as a park, covering Approx. 41 hectares. In spring, Approx. 8,000 cherry trees burst into bloom all at once, creating a breathtaking scene as the mountainside is tinted a soft pink.

In early summer, Approx. 3,500 azalea shrubs spread out like a crimson carpet, and from late June to July, Approx. 4,000 hydrangea shrubs bloom in a variety of colors, offering a different view each time you visit. Beyond the flowers, the observation deck offers sweeping views of the Okuchichibu mountain range as well as the mountains of Akagi and Nikko, with a vast panorama unfolding on clear days.

When the season and weather conditions are right, a sea of clouds may appear in the early morning, covering the mountainside in a dreamlike scene. At night, the night view of the Chichibu Basin spreads out below, offering spectacular scenery recognized as one of the “100 Best Night Views of Japan.” It is Approx. a 1-minute walk from the First Parking Lot to the summit observation deck.
