Forest Kingdom
Packed with activities that spark your sense of adventure! Enjoy an exciting day at the foot of Mt. Daisen.
A nature-based leisure spot spread out at the foot of Mt. Daisen, one of Japan’s great peaks. Its vast grounds of Approx. 70,000 square meters are packed with a wide variety of activities, attracting as many as 100,000 visitors a year.
The main attraction is a field athletic course, one of the largest in western Japan, featuring a total of 45 points that will keep not only kids but adults fully engaged. Take on the attractions set throughout a course built in a natural forest and enjoy the thrill of adventure.
Seasonal programs offering different experiences throughout the year are also popular. These include shower climbing (summer), where you head deep into the forest and make your way up a mountain stream; snowshoeing (winter), which lets you explore the beautiful snowy scenery of Mt. Daisen; and cycling tours (spring to around late November), where you ride 15–22km down from Daisen Ski Resort. All programs are guided by local professional guides, so you can join with peace of mind.
Other options include food-themed experiences such as seasonal pizza making (year-round), which starts with chopping firewood, and making Daisen ice cream and crepes (year-round), as well as farm and harvesting experiences like picking blueberries in the morning dew (from late July to August) and digging for bamboo shoots (from mid-April to May).
After a full day of fun, enjoy BBQ at the restaurant. The hearty, reasonably priced menu features local ingredients, including Daisen chicken.
