Hikosan Hotel Nagomi
A hot spring ryokan where you can relax in the embrace of sacred Mt. Hiko.
This hot spring ryokan sits halfway up Mt. Hiko, a sacred mountain long revered as a spiritual site and known as one of Japan’s three major Shugendo mountains. From the open-air bath and guest rooms, you can enjoy nature-rich views of the seasonal mountains and a sky full of stars.
The hot spring water brought from Mt. Hiko is a bicarbonate spring known for leaving your skin smooth, earning it a reputation as a “beautifying bath.” With both an open-air bath and an indoor bath, it is also popular for day-use bathing after a visit to Hikosan Jingu Shrine.
For dinner, the hotel serves kaiseki cuisine filled with seasonal flavors, combining mountain delicacies from Soeda Town such as locally grown vegetables, seasonal wild plants, and river fish with seafood from Fukuoka. The outstanding view spreading out beyond the windows is sure to make your meal even more memorable.
The guest rooms include spacious Japanese-style rooms, Western-style rooms, and Japanese-Western rooms, all designed for a relaxing stay. The one 20-tatami Japanese-style room on the second floor offers exceptional space and superb corner-room views.
