Supervised by :  Starbucks Coffee Company

Located on Miyajima, one of Japan's Three Most Scenic Places, this was the first Starbucks in Japan accessible by boat. The store is on the Omotesando shopping street leading to the World Heritage Site of Itsukushima Shrine and is housed within Miyajima Brewery, a restaurant with an on-site brewery operated by Miyajima Beer.

The design concept is “Passion Brewery.” The space brings together Miyajima Beer and Starbucks' shared passion for the local community. The second-floor wall features artwork made with wooden rice paddles, a traditional Miyajima craft. Local character is incorporated throughout the design, including the use of the paddles' shape to represent the scales of the Starbucks Siren.

The store has 40 seats, and its seaside balcony offers views of the Seto Inland Sea and the great torii gate of Itsukushima Shrine. Guests can relax in the sea breeze while watching the water take on different appearances throughout the day. Available exclusively at this store, the “[JIMOTO Made] Coffee Aroma Mug Momiji 444 ml” is a Miyajima ware mug decorated with individually applied maple leaves, the official tree of Hiroshima Prefecture, to create a maple-leaf crest. It is a special item that reflects Miyajima's scenery and culture.
