Lake Towada Winter Shuttle Bus
Enjoy wintertime at Oirase Gorge and Lake Towada on a shuttle bus that only runs during the winter!
Lake Towada and Oirase Gorge are iconic tourist destinations of Japan’s Tohoku region. In the wintertime, their beautiful and snowy landscapes give way to a fantastical atmosphere, and visitors from all over Japan and from abroad flock to the area.
Enjoy the winter to its fullest at “Lake Towada Winter Story,” and take in magnificent winter scenery like the “Icefall Tour” that you won’t see any other season. That’s not all, though – other fun experiences in the Lake Towada and Oirase Gorge areas, like hot spring visits and skiing, await!
In order to make the most of your visit to Lake Towada during the winter, we recommend taking the convenient Lake Towada Winter Shuttle Bus. This winter-exclusive shuttle bus connects Shichinohe-Towada Station and Lake Towada with a one-way trip lasting about 2 hours.
For example, if you come in via Shinkansen from Tokyo or Shin-Aomori Stations and get off at Shichinohe-Towada Station, the bus at the Shichinohe-Towada Station South Exit goes through “Lake Towada Winter Story,” Oirase Gorge, and Oirase Snow Park, making it the perfect way to get around for those looking to take part in the winter events.
