Absolutely gorgeous. Taking off one star because it was so exhausting and insanely hot. Climbing up got to the point where I was seriously over it.

But the view was so beautiful. I hope I’ll get the chance to see the white sand dunes someday. I’d also love to see it snow there and find out just how cold it gets!

Making it to the top was totally worth it!

Haha, a fun little story:

That day I was heading back to the hotel, and when I saw the bus was coming in five minutes, I took off running. Luckily the light was red, and the driver was really nice. They drove slowly along that stretch of road, probably to see if anyone else needed to get on! (Just my guess though.)

Oh, and I actually went twice.

The first day, I could still sit and rest.

The weather was just perfect! The second day was so hot I felt like I was going to melt, but I loved the place so much that I went two days in a row.

The scenery is incredibly grand and unique. All the sand makes it feel a bit like Egypt, and sandboarding is absolutely worth trying.

The sand pudding sold outside is also delicious.

From the top of the Tottori Sand Dunes, looking out over that endless golden sea of sand stretching straight to the deep blue Sea of Japan, the sense of vast open space is incredible. If you get the chance, you should definitely come here and try riding a camel for a totally different experience.

Walking across the vast sand dunes, you can really feel the power of the wind constantly shaping new landscapes. That's what makes the dunes so unique and fascinating.

It's a beautiful place, but the wind can get pretty strong. Make sure to bring some lightweight shoes to change into.

This is a must-see spot when visiting Tottori.

The beautiful patterns in the sand created by the wind, and the contrast between the sky and the dunes, are definitely highlights. It's perfect for social media! The dunes are huge and there aren't any shops around, so be sure to bring a water bottle and stay hydrated while you explore. I've heard it's beautiful in the snowy season too, so I'd love to visit in winter. The last photo is from a small restaurant called Yukichiya near Tottori Station. The set menu came with fresh sashimi and beautifully arranged side dishes—it was delicious.

It's my first time to see the Sand Dune. There's an amazing view!

You can take photos, ride camels, enjoy the beautiful coastline, and even try sandboarding. It's such a fun spot!
