Kurofune Café COCOOCEN
We sell sweets at Kurofune, with our specialty being castella. You can find “Café COCOOCEN” on the second floor of the Jiyūgaoka main store.
The dorayaki pancakes are freshly baked every day, and the fillings are really generous. All the flavors look tempting, and I also highly recommend the milk pudding!
[Closed Down] Soba Komatuan
We are a soba restaurant with a refined Japanese atmosphere, where you can taste pure soba noodles, handmade by our chefs in house.
食物吃起來很普通沒有特別，整個用餐環境倒是還不錯。
Chiba Shrine
The god of the North Star, Hokushin Myoken King, also known as "Ame-no-Mikoto Okami," is the main god enshrined, and is known to have power over the stars that lead people to good fate by removing "misfortunes" such as illness, accidents, and injuries.
The two-story worship hall is really unique. You rarely see this kind of architecture at Japanese shrines.
Sanjo-dori Shopping Mall
Sanjo Street runs east-west through downtown Nara City from the JR Nara Station on the JR Kansai Line to the Kasuga Taisha Shrine in Nara Park. The Sanjo-dori Shopping Mall stretches along the street from the JR Nara Station to Yasuragi no Michi street, which runs north to south along the west side of Kintetsu Nara Station on the Kintetsu Nara Line.
Sanjo Street is lined with shops on both sides. You can see it right after leaving Nara Station. They sell all kinds of goods, crafts, and food. It's not crowded, so it's a great place to stroll and shop.
Kashihara Jingu (Kashihara Shrine)
In Nihon Shoki, Japan’s first imperial-commissioned history book, Kasihara is noted as the land of Japan’s founding. The coronation of the first emperor, Jinmu, took place in the palace in Kashihara, according to Nihon Shoki. Based on that record, Kashihara Jingu was built to enshrine Emperor Jinmu and his wife Empress Himetataraisuzuhime.
The grounds are huge, and the shrine is built right in the middle of nature. It's super peaceful and really pleasant to walk around!
