LUCUA Osaka is one of my favorite places to browse when visiting Osaka, especially Donguri Republic on the 8th floor. Studio Ghibli fans shouldn't miss it! The store has lots of merchandise related to Studio Ghibli films. This time, I also discovered the Flower Miffy store. The whole shop is filled with floral elements paired with cute Miffy merchandise, making it feel so soothing. Both stores are fun to browse and easy to shop at〜

Kansai International Airport is the gateway most commonly used for travel to the Kansai region. Whenever I visit Osaka, Kyoto, or other nearby areas, I pass through here. The souvenir shops after immigration now have self-service kiosks. Just follow the on-screen instructions to select the gifts you want and complete payment, then a staff member will hand you your items. The whole process is simple and efficient. However, I personally still prefer the traditional way of displaying food products.

I also recommend stopping by LA PAN, a famous Kobe bakery, before going through immigration to pick up some of its popular shokupan bread to enjoy on the plane or at home.

Yatai food stalls are an iconic part of Fukuoka's street food culture. They usually open in the early evening, and after nightfall, the small food carts light up and the lively atmosphere begins. Although space inside is limited, everyone sits shoulder to shoulder along the counter. Even complete strangers can enjoy piping-hot food while sharing their stories and feelings, gradually growing closer without even realizing it.

The most interesting part is watching the owner work in the cramped space, hands moving between all the small shelves. It may look a little cluttered, but everything is actually well organized. It really is like a magical little food cart. Especially in winter, everyone huddles together to eat, surrounded by warmth from the steam and the people. It creates a wonderful atmosphere. When visiting Fukuoka, don't forget to set aside one evening for the yatai and experience this unique and charming city scene for yourself!

The Gashapon Department Store is truly an “evil” place. I only planned to look around, but as I kept browsing, I couldn't resist trying a few! Japanese gashapon come in such a wide variety of designs, from cute and comforting items and useful little gadgets to all kinds of wildly creative designs. Most of them are also quite finely made, and even though they're tiny, they're very collectible. Turning the handle is fun too—there's a little thrill to it, and you can test your luck to see if you'll get the one you want most on the first try. Just be sure to quit while you're ahead, or your wallet will take a serious hit〜

Mitsui Garden Hotel felt very warm and comfortable overall. The room had a simple design and was spacious without feeling cramped. After walking all day, I could return to the room, relax, and ease the fatigue from traveling. I really liked the sofa area. In the evening, I could buy some snacks I liked, bring them back to the hotel, and slowly enjoy them on the sofa while having some relaxing time to myself.

Tenjin Chikagai is really fun to explore, with almost all my favorite brands gathered here! You can find everything from clothing, sundries, and drugstore products to souvenirs and all kinds of snacks. Whether you want to shop, eat, or just browse, you won't get bored. The underground street also has many connecting exits that lead directly to nearby shopping malls and department stores, making it very convenient, and you don't have to worry at all on rainy days. Every time I come to Tenjin, I like to make time to walk around here, and once I start browsing, I often can't stop! I recently discovered that Chun Shui Tang has also opened here. Being able to enjoy their familiar bubble tea in Fukuoka was such a pleasant surprise!

Tirolian rolled cookies come in so many flavors that you'll want to try every one! The crispy cookie shell pairs well with the smooth filling, and they're moderately sweet without being cloying. The individual packaging is also very convenient, making them perfect as a snack to carry in your bag or to share with friends and family. Chidoriya is a long-established Japanese confectionery founded during the Edo period. It has created a variety of popular sweets over the years while preserving its traditional confectionery-making spirit, and Tirolian is one of the brand's signature products.

You can get almost everything you need for daily life in one place, making it a great choice for one-stop shopping. I really like this line of snacks. They're light and don't weigh much, so they're perfect for carrying a pack when going out and having something whenever you get hungry. Whenever I bring some home to share with friends and family, it almost always receives unanimous praise, making it a great gift.

When I was at the airport at the beginning of this year, I unexpectedly spotted the pistachio flavor. Since I’ve always loved pistachios, of course I bought it right away! The rich, nutty aroma paired with the nama chocolate added another layer of flavor that made it hard to stop eating one after another.
