The ski area is pretty big, but it wasn’t crowded.
The runs are nice and wide, and the snow is super powdery.
Highly recommend!!

Naeba Ski Resort
One of the largest ski resorts in Japan, Naeba is known for its dry, high-quality snow. Its wide variety of courses, which have also hosted World Cup races, can be enjoyed by everyone from beginners to advanced skiers. The 4 km downhill course is truly spectacular.
Getting from Echigo-Yuzawa Station to Naeba Ski Resort is really convenient. You can hop straight on a bus right after leaving the station.
The ski area is huge, with runs for everyone from beginners to advanced skiers, and the lifts and facilities are well set up. There’s also night skiing, which gives the whole experience a different vibe.
After skiing, you can grab food at the newly opened food hall and then go soak in a hot spring. Overall, it was a really comfortable experience and a great place to come have fun with friends. I come at least once or twice every year. -
