I made a special trip to Osaka Takashimaya to eat at one of my favorite restaurants, Toyotei. Their signature chilled beefsteak tomato was eye-catching as soon as it arrived at the table. They use a large, round, plump tomato that was cool and refreshing, with a sweetness that was especially impressive. The hamburger steak is another popular must-order, with plenty of juices and a wonderful aroma. Paired with the classic sides, it was very satisfying. Finally, don't forget to save some room for their signature pudding. It was smooth and rich, sweet without being overwhelming. Everything from the appetizer to dessert was very satisfying.

Machiya Café Miyake Shouten
“Miyake Shouten”, located in the Kurashiki Bikan Historical Quarter, is a café that was converted from a townhouse built over a century ago. The traditional layout including doma (dirt floor), kura (a traditional storehouse) and Tsuchikabe (Japanese wattle and daub wall) is unique to an old Japanese house, creating a nostalgic and relaxing space.
逛倉敷美觀地區時，炎炎夏日走在街上，意外被「三宅商店」門口的招牌吸引，忍不住走進來吹吹冷氣、休息一下。這是一間歷史悠久的喫茶店，藏身於古老町屋之中，推門入內便能感受到濃濃的懷舊氣息。
店內保留傳統日式建築格局，古色古香，還有一方小巧庭園，坐下來看著窗外綠意，格外悠閒。店裡採用日式跪坐的小矮桌，搭配茶點更有古民家風情。除了飲品、甜點與餐點，也有販售各式生活雜貨與選物商品，逛累了不妨進來歇歇腳，一邊享用點心、一邊感受老屋的寧靜氛圍。是倉敷散步途中很舒服的一個休憩小角落。

Kurashiki Bikan Historical Quarter
The traditional streets of the Kurashiki Bikan Historical Quarter feature white walled warehouses, grid pattern walls, Namako-kabe, and rows of weeping trees, creating a beautiful and charming townscape. This harmonious and historic scenery is very popular with tourists.
倉敷美觀地區是個可愛小鎮，散發著悠閒又古樸的氣息。沿著倉敷川散步，兩岸柳樹隨風飄曳，河道上不時有小船緩緩經過，畫面特別有味道；轉進旁邊的小巷，又能看到人力車穿梭其中，更添幾分江戶時代的風情。沿街保存完整的白壁土藏與傳統町屋，如今開設了許多風格各異的咖啡館、甜點店、伴手禮店與特色小舖，每轉一個彎都可能發現讓人想停下腳步的店家。
除了欣賞街景，也很適合慢慢逛店、找間咖啡館坐下休息。建議至少安排半天，才能真正感受到倉敷美
觀地區的迷人氛圍。另外，喜歡紙膠帶的朋友更不能錯過！大家熟悉的 MT 紙膠帶就是發源於倉敷，走在美觀地區一帶，常能看到店家展示數量驚人的紙膠帶，從經典款到各種限定、聯名與特殊圖案，選擇多到讓人眼花撩亂。有些店還提供免費手作體驗，可以親手利用紙膠帶創作，趣味十足。許多特色款式甚至只有當地才找得到，對紙膠帶控來說根本是挖到寶，逛著逛著真的會忍不住感嘆：「原來紙膠帶可以這麼好玩！」這趟倉敷之旅也因此多了意外的驚喜。

Ario Kurashiki
Ario Kurashiki is a large-scale commercial complex, comprising about 100 specialist shops, and directly connected to the JR Kurashiki Station North Exit. It has a wide range of shops, from fashion trends, general merchandise, pharmacy to specialty shops that offer various services.
Ario Kurashiki is right next to JR Kurashiki Station and adjacent to Mitsui Outlet Park Kurashiki, making it very convenient to get to. The mall brings together all kinds of stores, including clothing, household goods, restaurants, and a supermarket, so you can shop and eat all in one place. The most eye-catching feature is the large clock tower in the central plaza. It chimes every hour, making it a distinctive feature of the mall and a convenient landmark for meeting up with friends.
