Facing the Kikuyabashi intersection, the entrance to the Kappabashi Dougu Street, this Japanese tableware store is always crowded with shoppers. Inside the store, as well as outside the store, you will find a lineup of dishes purchased directly from the kiln, creating an atmosphere similar to that of a pottery market, which is popular among foreign tourists.
This place is truly a paradise for lovers of pottery and traditional crafts. The calm, elegant atmosphere inside lets you slow down and carefully appreciate the delicate textures and craftsmanship of Arita ware and pieces from renowned kilns around Japan. Just quietly looking at these beautiful vessels makes me incredibly happy. The cute cups I was lucky enough to find and buy this time have now become favorites at home. I take them out every afternoon for tea, adding a little sense of occasion to everyday life~
