The flowers are absolutely beautiful—definitely worthy of being called a world-class spot. I recommend bringing your own food though, since there aren't many options for sale inside the park.

Solaria Nishitetsu Hotel Kagoshima
Located directly in front of JR Kagoshima-Chuo Station, where the Kyushu Shinkansen stops, Solaria Nishitetsu Hotel Kagoshima is also connected to the Kagoshima Chuo Bus Terminal, a key transportation hub linking destinations throughout Kyushu. Its prime location makes it an ideal base for both sightseeing and business travelers.
The room was neat and clean, and it felt really high-quality. A lot of people mention how spotless it is, which is definitely a big plus.

Nikko Toshogu
Nikko Toshogu is a shrine dedicated to the Edo shogun Ieyasu Tokugawa. It is the most visited spot within the World Heritage Site “Shrines and Temples of Nikko,” and here you can see 55 exceptional buildings, including 8 that have been designated as national treasures and 34 that have been designated as Important Cultural Properties.
If you want to really take in all that Toshogu Shrine has to offer, half a day just isn't enough. I suggest staying overnight in Nikko so you can also explore places like Lake Chuzenji nearby.
