Santa Maria, a sightseeing sailing boat of the Osaka Port
Cruising in the Port of Osaka on a sightseeing cruise boat with the motif of the ship used by Columbus when he discovered the New Continent.
The "Santa Maria," which was used by Columbus when he discovered the American continent, was built on about twice the scale. The ship departs from Kaiyukan West Wharf in Tempozan Harbor Village, which houses Kaiyukan, one of the world's largest aquariums, a Ferris wheel, and Tempozan Marketplace, a large-scale commercial facility, and cruises leisurely around the Osaka Bay area for about 45 minutes.
The four-story ship has cabins, food counters, and a first class (fee-charging, currently suspended as of July 2021), allowing passengers to spend their time in any way they like.
There are also benches on the open 4th floor observation deck. You can enjoy cruising while feeling the sea breeze. Enjoy the seaside scenery of Sakishima with its skyscrapers, container wharf, and the Minato Ohashi Bridge with its distinctive vermilion color.
The first-floor stateroom, "Sala de Colon," displays materials related to the Age of Discovery and ships, and the second-floor stateroom, "Sala de Patio," has a food counter selling drinks and snacks, so you can enjoy more than just the scenery. A twilight cruise is also recommended to enjoy the dynamic evening scenery.
※The twilight cruise service is suspended in 2021.
The ship that Columbus boarded when he discovered the New Continent was built to about twice the size.
You can see the tourist attractions of the Osaka Bay Area from the sea.
There are rooms, open decks, and food counters offering a variety of ways to spend your time.
Exhibits materials related to the Age of Discovery and ships.
