Chiba Park offers cherry blossoms in spring, Oga Lotus in summer and fall colors. It is known for Oga Lotus, which is called the world’s oldest flower. During its blooming season from late June to mid July, many tourists come to visit and different events are held commemorating Oga Lotus.

Within the Park, Rengetei Pavilion exhibits information and photos of Oga Lotus. Even if you are not visiting during the blooming season, you will get to learn about this curious flower.

There is a playground for families with little children, and a boat pond as well, the only one in Chiba where you can ride a boat. From JR chiba Station, it is only 10 minutes on foot. It is an oasis in the city.
