This Approx. 8.5 km canal connects the Tone River and Edo River, with an Approx. 2.4 ha park developed along its calm waterfront. Inside the park, where walking paths and floating bridges have been built, the main symbol is a stone monument honoring Mr. Mulder, the Dutch engineer who designed the canal. Built in 1890 during the Meiji period as a bypass for water transport, the area is lined with monuments and information boards that share its long contribution to logistics infrastructure, making it a pleasant place to stroll while learning about modern civil engineering history.

In spring, the planted cherry trees bloom, and the walking paths are brushed with pale pink. The cherry blossoms reflected on the water and petals drifting in the wind create a beautiful scene well worth seeing.

In summer, the cool breeze from the water feels refreshing, while clusters of red spider lilies appear, creating a red carpet-like view along the quiet waterfront in late summer. With benches and lawn areas throughout the park, visitors can enjoy picnics, reading, or simply spending time as they take in the seasonal scenery.
