The cafeteria is located on the second floor of the Kamikochi Tourist Center, facing the Kamikochi Bus Terminal, which is bustling with tourists and climbers during the season. You can enjoy the view of the magnificent Hotaka mountain range while savoring dishes made with local produce from Shinshu.

The cafeteria is open from 6:00 a.m., so it is available for early morning hikes. The menu includes breakfast set meals (both Japanese and Western-style), regular set meals, soba noodles, various rice bowl dishes, curry with pork cutlet, and more. Desserts are also available, perfect for a break before or after your hike.

There are also stores by the cafeteria, offering a variety of souvenirs, including Kamikochi limited edition products. We also recommend our original Japanese snack, ‘Kappa-yaki’, which is sold at the store on the ground floor. It is a taiyaki-like snack in the shape of a ‘kappa’ (a Japanese folk-tale water imp), and is baked fresh every day in the store. They are 200 yen per piece and come in three flavors: red-bean paste, custard, and cream cheese + red-bean paste. Perfect for a hiking snack.
