Located at the heart of Sapporo, Nakajima Park offers a verdant space. many tourists flock to this popular park to see ever-changing scenery through four seasons.

In spring, cherry blossoms and wisteria, in summer, yellow irises and fall leaves adorn the area.

A Japanese Garden is a special feature of Nakajima Park, where time flows leisurely. Hasso-an tearoom, a national important cultural asset, is also a historically valuable building.

Stop by at another national important cultural asset, Hoheikan, known as the only hotel built on a commission from the Meiji administration. It is a notable architecture depicting the history of Hokkaido’s development. Take a look at the elegant plaster centerpiece on the ceiling above each chandelier.
