Mount Yotei
This mountain that looks like Mt. Fuji is nicknamed Ezo Fuji. It is a symbol of the Niseko Area.
In the southern Shiribeshi Region, Mt. Yotei stands 1898m above sea level. Its beautiful cone shape like Mt. Fuji’s has brought the name Ezo Fuji since ancient times. Located at the western edge of Shikotsu-Toya National Park, the perfectly cone-shaped figure is counted in Japan’s 100 best mountains and serves as a symbol of the Niseko Area itself.
The appearance changes dramatically depending on the season and time. During the sunset, it is an outstanding visual feast. Rich nature spreads around Mt. Yotei and its snow melts to form several spots known for clear water, attracting many visitors.
In summer, many love to climb here. You can choose from four courses - Makkari and Kutchan Trails are for beginners, enjoyable to even non-climbers. Kyogoku and Kimobetsu Trails are for the experienced. Consider your own ability and give it a challenge.
