A scenic spot located about 15 minutes on foot from Hakuba Station. You can see the clear stream of the Himekawa River, a suspension bridge, and the towering mountains of Hakuba on the other side. If you want to enjoy this beautiful scenery, aim for the observation terrace and observatory within the park. Once the cherry blossoms are in full seasonal bloom, you won’t want to miss a chance to see them up close from the observation terrace.

The spring view of cherry blossoms against a backdrop of Hakuba’s snow-capped mountains is remarkable. In summer, you’ll find the lush greenery of picturesque rural landscape, while autumn brings the splendor of bright foliage before the silvery world of winter wonderland sets in. Each season offers a different backdrop to behold, ensuring you’ll want to visit again and again.

Near the Oide Suspension Bridge, an iconic symbol of the park, there’s a suspension bridge teahouse selling light meals and local souvenirs, and an organic cafe tucked inside a renovated 100-year-old traditional house, both of which are open for a limited time. You’ll even find a log house-style coffee shop by the observation deck that’s only open on the weekends, a perfect place to stop off and recharge during a scenic stroll.
