Shop and get your duty-free processing done with ease at the "GRANSTA TOKYO" shopping complex inside JR Tokyo Station!
GRANSTA TOKYO is the largest in-station shopping hub run by JR East Japan at Tokyo Station. With a full lineup of over 180 stores, this bustling spot even keeps its own duty-free counter. After shopping, swing by to process your duty-free items with ease. Just be sure to note that receipts for shops outside the ticket gates in Gransta Marunouchi must be processed individually at each shop.
The duty-free counter is located on the basement first floor, next to the temporary luggage storage counter. Visit here for duty-free purchase support from 8:30 am to 9:00 pm. Along with you’re purchased goods, you’ll need your passport with entry stamp (only Japanese residents living abroad and foreign travelers in Japan for 6 months or less are eligible), receipt and credit card if used to purchase. Your sales tax will be refunded in cash on site.
Duty-free services are available for eligible general purchases equaling a minimum of 5,000 yen (before tax) up to 500,000 yen, as well as for consumables like food, beverages, cosmetics, and medicines equaling a minimum of 5,000 yen (before tax) up to 500,000 yen. Eligible products are those purchased either in GRANSTA TOKYO or inside JR Tokyo Station (Some exceptions apply. Please check beforehand.)
