Enzo Yamagata Soba, Yamadera Main Store was established as the flagship location of Enzo, which also has three branches in Sendai. Here, you can enjoy Yamagata-style 100% buckwheat soba, hand-cut from house-milled buckwheat flour. The restaurant uses Mogamiwase, a rare variety of pesticide-free buckwheat grown in Okura Village, Yamagata. It is known for its firm texture and rich aroma.

The signature dish is the limited-quantity “Juwari Soba.” Made using only buckwheat flour with no binding agents, it lets you fully enjoy the true flavor of soba. “Cold Meat Soba,” a well-known Yamagata specialty, is also popular. In summer, the seasonal “Cold Chicken Ramen,” one of Yamagata’s beloved B-class gourmet dishes, is also available. The menu also includes Yamagata side dishes such as imoni and tama konnyaku. Drinks include the sake brands Dewazakura and Rokkasen, allowing you to enjoy local cuisine alongside regional sake.

The restaurant has a calm atmosphere with a distinct Japanese touch. It is located Approx. 10 seconds on foot from Yamadera Station on the JR Senzan Line, making it easy to access. Risshakuji Temple and other sights are within walking distance, so it is easy to stop by before or after a stroll.
