Nogawa Tofu Shop

Located near the entrance of Ginzan Onsen, right beside the "Warashi-yu Foot Bath," is the original Ginzan tofu store. The shop looks like a traditional home, with a "Tofu Shop" sign as a landmark, and it was once a barbershop next door.

Upon entering, there's a counter for placing orders. The tofu, made from firm soybeans, is all handmade and available in limited quantities. The "Stand-and-Eat Yudofu" with its smooth texture and the crispy outside, fluffy inside "Stand-and-Eat Fried Tofu" are warm menu items perfect for cold days. If you prefer cold tofu, choose the "Stand-and-Eat Tofu." They also offer a unique item called "Tofu Tempura" - tempura made by mixing in tofu, which gives a delicious tofu flavor and can be eaten smoothly.

They also sell local beer, "Yamagata Beer," and it's recommended to buy it here and enjoy it while soaking your feet at the Warashi-yu Foot Bath. As their products are sold out quickly, it's better to visit early.
