Fumuroya "Takara no Fu"
An easy way to enjoy clear soup with the traditions of Kaga.
Founded in 1865, Fumuroya is a long-established shop that began making fu in Owaricho, Kanazawa. It has continued to craft Kaga fu while preserving the methods, flavors, and traditional techniques passed down since its founding. At the same time, it also values creating new kinds of fu that reflect modern sensibilities and the needs of the times.
Its signature product, "Takara no Fu," has been a long-selling hit for more than 30 years. It was created by the wife of the fifth-generation head of the family for their children while they were studying abroad. Inside the small, charming baked fu, about the size of a palm and inspired by a treasure box, are plenty of colorful fu and vegetables. Just pour in hot water to make a vibrant, authentic clear soup. The toasty aroma of the baked fu and the soft colors of Kaga make it a treat for both the eyes and the palate.
There is also a wide variety of flavors, including "Osumashi" with its elegant kelp broth aroma, fragrant "Kaga Miso," and "Inaka Miso," which brings out the aroma of koji. It is popular for making authentic flavor easy to enjoy.
