Soyokaze (Numazu City, Shizuoka)

Opened in February 2024, this hamburger steak specialty restaurant was inspired by the owner’s unforgettable encounter with the hamburger steak at the popular Fujinomiya restaurant “Celery Batake.” Wanting more people to experience it, the owner made it happen. Serving a new style of hamburger steak, it stands out as a fresh presence in Shizuoka, an area known for its fierce hamburger competition.

The signature menu item is the hamburger steak, available in 150g, 200g, or 300g portions. Each set comes with rice (free refills), soup, and a drink. The hamburger is served rare with only the outside lightly seared, and diners finish cooking it themselves on the hot plate using a heated pellet stone. It’s a dish that lets you fully enjoy the meat’s natural juiciness and texture.

Made with several carefully selected cuts, the patties are known for their rich, satisfying meat flavor. Another highlight is being able to enjoy different flavors with sauces and table seasonings, and the hearty menu has made the restaurant especially popular.

Located Approx. an 8-minute walk from JR Numazu Station, on the south side of the Shizuoka Eastern Regional Government Office, it is easy to find even on your first visit. Its casual atmosphere, welcoming everyone from families to solo diners, is another reason for its popularity.
