Kinrin Park

This scenic spot is known as Tsuda no Matsubara, celebrated for its white sand and green pines. The grove is said to have originated about 600 years ago, when pines were planted as a windbreak for Iwashimizu Hachimangu Shrine. Today, approximately 3,000 pine trees extend for about 1 km, including trees over 600 years old and neagari-matsu pines whose roots appear exposed due to sand erosion.

The white beach, lush pine grove, and calm Seto Inland Sea create a picturesque landscape recognized among Japan's 100 Best White-Sand and Green-Pine Landscapes and Japan's 100 Best Beaches. It became a prefectural park in 1915 and was later incorporated into Setonaikai National Park. The park's name is said to come from the sound of the wind blowing through the pines, which resembles the music of a koto.

In summer, it draws crowds as one of Kagawa Prefecture's leading swimming beaches. Visitors can stroll through the park and enjoy seaside recreation, while the area is also known as a movie filming location.
