Kobayashiya (Kinosaki Onsen)

Founded 330 years ago, Kobayashiya stands in the heart of Kinosaki Onsen in Hyogo Prefecture, amid willow-lined streets and stone bridges. Rebuilt after the major earthquake of 1925, the stately building is a Registered Tangible Cultural Property of significant historical value and a symbol of the hot spring town's landscape. Step inside, and a deep respect for traditional craftsmanship is evident throughout.
