Naguri Onsen Taishokaku

This hot spring ryokan is located in the nature-rich village of Naguri, about an hour from central Tokyo by car or train. Surrounded by the murmur of a river and mountains that change with the seasons, it offers the tranquility of the rural landscape of Okumusashi. It is also a convenient base for hiking and sightseeing around Lake Naguri, making it ideal for a trip immersed in nature.

The Suimeikan and Seifukan buildings contain a total of 19 guest rooms in a range of styles, including Japanese-style rooms, Japanese-Western rooms, and special Japanese-style rooms with private indoor hot spring baths. In addition to Humming, a private villa that opened in 2022, Tenku no Mori Glamping opened in 2023, offering a variety of ways to stay.

The hot spring is classified as a hypotonic alkaline cold mineral spring. The large public baths on the top floor of Suimeikan feature open-air baths where guests can soak while looking out over the mountains. There are also three private baths, each with a different atmosphere, and overnight guests may use one of them free of charge.

Dinner features dishes prepared with seasonal ingredients and local flavors. Guests can choose from options such as the Miyama Kaiseki and Wagyu Kaiseki meals, charcoal-grilled cuisine served at the Yamano Chaya restaurant in the annex, and wild boar hot pot available only in winter. The property also has a reading lounge and a children's play area, allowing guests of all ages to spend their time as they please.
