Nakamura Tokichi Honten is a famous, long-established matcha shop in Uji. The matcha desserts and tea drinks are rich in aroma and beautifully smooth in texture.

The shop has the atmosphere of a traditional Japanese house, making it a relaxing place to enjoy authentic Uji tea culture. It’s a must-visit for matcha lovers.

Nakamura Tokichi is delicious and not too rich.

You do have to wait a bit, though.

I wasn't really into matcha or green tea before, but if you're visiting Uji, you should definitely stop by here for a cup of tea.
